Mental Health Counseling
I am a dedicated child, adolescent, and young adult therapist based in Wellesley, MA. My practice focuses on supporting individuals navigating challenges related to misophonia, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and difficulties in school or work.
I believe in meeting clients where they are and creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for them to explore their thoughts and emotions. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual's needs, helping them build resilience, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward a more fulfilling and balanced life.
If you or your child are looking for support, I am here to help. Together, we can work toward meaningful growth and positive change.
Misophonia
Misophonia is a condition in which certain sounds trigger strong emotional and physical reactions, such as anxiety, anger, or distress. Common triggers include chewing, breathing, tapping, or other repetitive noises, which can lead to intense discomfort, avoidance behaviors, and difficulty in daily life. Misophonia can affect relationships, school, and work, making it challenging to focus, engage in social situations, or feel at ease in everyday environments.
As a therapist specializing in misophonia, I provide a supportive space to explore these reactions and develop strategies to manage distress. My approach includes:
Building Awareness – Understanding personal triggers and emotional responses.
Coping Strategies – Developing techniques to reduce distress and regain a sense of control.
Emotional Regulation – Learning ways to manage frustration, anxiety, and avoidance behaviors.
Cognitive and Behavioral Tools – Addressing thoughts and patterns that contribute to distress and working on desensitization strategies when appropriate.
Support for Family & School/Work Environments – Helping clients communicate their needs effectively and navigate relationships impacted by misophonia.
While misophonia can feel overwhelming, it is possible to create meaningful change. With the right support, clients can build resilience, reduce distress, and improve their overall quality of life. If you or your child are struggling with misophonia, I’m here to help.
Therapy For You
Young adulthood is a time of growth, self-discovery, and transition—but it can also bring significant challenges. Balancing academic, career, and personal responsibilities while navigating relationships, identity, and mental health can feel overwhelming. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I specialize in supporting young adults through these experiences, providing a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore their thoughts, emotions, and goals.
I help young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, misophonia, life transitions, and work or school-related stress by offering:
Emotional Support & Coping Skills – Helping clients manage overwhelming emotions, stress, and uncertainty through practical strategies.
Cognitive & Behavioral Strategies – Identifying unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors while fostering healthier perspectives and coping mechanisms.
Navigating Life Transitions – Providing guidance on major life changes, including college, career choices, and shifts in relationships.
Self-Discovery & Identity Development – Supporting clients as they explore their values, aspirations, and personal identity.
Building Healthy Relationships – Addressing communication challenges, setting boundaries, and fostering meaningful connections.
My approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual’s unique needs, empowering young adults to develop confidence, resilience, and clarity in their lives. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about the next steps, I’m here to help. Together, we can work toward growth, healing, and a stronger sense of self.
Therapy For Your Child
Children and Teens experience the world in unique ways, and when challenges arise, they may struggle to express their emotions or make sense of their experiences. As a child and adolescent therapist, I provide a safe, supportive environment where children can explore their feelings, build coping skills, and develop confidence in themselves.
I specialize in working with children facing anxiety, depression, misophonia, school-related stress, and life transitions. My approach is tailored to each individual’s needs, incorporating play, creative expression, and evidence-based strategies to help them process emotions and develop resilience.
Through therapy, I help children:
Understand and express their emotions in healthy, constructive ways.
Develop coping strategies for managing anxiety, frustration, and overwhelming feelings.
Build self-esteem and confidence in their abilities and strengths.
Improve communication skills to foster better relationships with family, friends, and teachers.
Navigate school challenges such as academic stress, peer relationships, and motivation.
I believe in working collaboratively with parents and caregivers to ensure that the child’s growth extends beyond the therapy room. By creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental space, I empower children to navigate life’s challenges and thrive.
If your child is struggling, I am here to help. Together, we can create a path toward emotional well-being and lasting positive change.
